We are looking for a Front End Developer with drive, enthusiasm and a can do attitude, ready to become part of a delivery driven and collaborative team, in a fast paced exciting environment. You will get to work on multiple websites due to our diverse portfolio of clients within the B2B and B2C market. You will work within an environment full of experience in eCommerce Website Development and Digital Marketing bringing you the opportunity to learn from those around you and contribute to a passionate team.The ideal candidate will bring experience of the eCommerce market and will be willing to work with our design team to improve our design and development skills in the latest technologies and features. You will be collaborative member of our process improvement plan as we continuously strive for improvements in what we do. There is also potential to become a Lead as we continue to expand the team and we are looking for this potential in our new team members. Main Responsibilities
Active contributor to Requirements Gathering, UX and Technical Specification, ensuring our offering if suitable for the client and technically feasible.
Work with our Designers to suggest creative ideas and features.
Take website designs and transform them into fully functional website themes.
Perform coding to agreed coding standards.
Work with our Back End and Full Stack developers to help develop our Front end capabilities.
Make suggestions on the latest technologies and features.
Performance optimisation and ensuring scalability of front-end builds
Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
Ongoing development and support of features on existing client sites
Skills and Qualifications
Expert knowledge of Magento 2 and WordPress, HTML & CSS
Good understanding of M2 UI components
Exposure to CSS pre-processors such as LESS and SASS
A working knowledge of accessibility practices
Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image. Familiarity with Photoshop is a bonus
Experience with battling cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
Experience with version control tools, such as Git
Good SEO practices in your markup such as experience with schema/microdata, semantic html etc.
Solid understanding of responsive design
An ability to work to deadlines and communicate effectively with other team members
