On Wednesday, our new ecommerce consultant Reece Dent headed to the eCommerce Exhibit at the Manchester Central Convention Centre. The one-day event had a leading line-up of big brand keynote speakers sharing first-hand insight into their pioneering work and predictions for future trends across ecommerce and marketing. A wide range of industry experts exhibited their portfolio of products and/or services in their individual stands which they illustrated the importance of eCommerce and the magnitude of growth in mCommerce.
Attending seminars from the likes of Sky, Sunderland FC and Clarks provided extensive and relevant knowledge that we can pass on to our clients and partners here at Yoma. Emergent themes indicated how mobile optimised sites are now considered as critical to the success of any business establishing a presence online. Moreover, omni-channeling and customer experience are now the forefront of eCommerce, treating shops as theatres and integrating innovative technology in store with the likes of iPads and digital signage as the way forward, all of which should align with your online presence seamlessly. Glen Richardson (CEO of JustBought.it) also highlighted how successful ecommerce businesses are now vastly becoming high street champions.
We also got a chance to meet with our partners Emailvision who were exhibiting their innovative and unique solutions of cloud-based marketing automation and analytics. In addition, they conducted a session in the Integrated Marketing Theatre about unlocking the potential of customer data.
On the whole, this event was interesting, and its great to see more industry events now taking place in the North West, we hope to see this continue in 2014!
