So, today is World Baking Day! And what better day to celebrate than to update you on the Bake Sale we held on Friday for Zoe’s Place?
The gloves were off - well, the oven ones stayed on actually! - as all the Yoma staff got their mixers and icing bags out to raise money for the local children’s hospice, in honour of Children’s Hospice Week.
The ‘Time 4 Tea’ event, run by Zoe’s Place, encouraged people to pick a date between 11th and 17th May to hold a bake sale, and then drink tea and eat cake!
The competition was stiff, but in the end we had to choose Simon and Becky as joint winners of the ‘Best Yoma Baker’ accolade for their yummy cakes.
In total we raised £81 which we are putting towards our fundraising efforts for Zoe’s Place taking part in the Run or Dye race in a couple of weeks on June 6th!
